I've always been against offshore oil drilling. Florida is the Sunshine State. We should have solar energy as well as wind and wave energy programs. Just the risk of the oil slick coming ashore is already a disaster. There are 2 oil wells leaking in the Gulf. The worst one is gushing out thousands of barrels of oil, not just leaking.

the Tip (Key West) to the Top (Tallahassee) and out to the Far End (Pensacola).

I was forced to stage this picture in the empty auditorium after 
Congresswoman Karen Thurman, Chair of the Fla. Democratic (?) Party and MC of the Party's Convention 10/8-11/09, leading up to the Primary election, twice refused to introduce me, a valid Candidate for Governor and a Delegate, to the main gathering of delegates. She and four members of her staff told me both times that Alex Sink is the only one they were endorsing and introducing!??!
They threatened to call security if I didn't sit down.
THIS WAS SO WRONG !!!
THEY TOLD ME IT CAN'T BE DONE.
THEN, THEY STOPPED ME FROM DOING IT!
Are they afraid because I talk about how
they waste your money or is it something else!?!

Immediately afterwards, I spoke to State Rep. Ron Saunders, other elected officials and leaders of the 'Black Caucus'.
They all did nothing. None got mad.
Some said, "That's too bad or Karen does things like that!"

Two delegates asked me why I didn't get a chance to speak to the gathering and wasn't even introduced.
They said, "We saw you walk to the stage twice
and talk to "them".

I spoke to the ACLU but they didn't help.
They're too busy hugging trees or something.

Florida has 67 counties! Each one has its own everything! They have 67 Tax Collectors, 67 School Boards and 67 personnel departments, libraries,
mosquito control boards, court systems, plus many other overlapping facilities. If they consolidate or share services, we will save a lot of money!
Also, we pay for 67 separate county sheriff
departments who only patrol between their county
Senator Mel Martinez lines. We have state police. That's all we need.
On some programs and issues, I want counties to work together as 10 Regional Districts. What do you think?

A better plan would be to use federal highway funds that's already allocated and build two extensions at the top of the Florida Turnpike & Interstate 75 junction leading to Jacksonville and Tallahassee. It's stupid to have to drive to Interstate 10 then turn left or right for more than 100 miles. I just did it, twice.

My platform will use the acronym, S.A.F.E
· Sunshine is America’s Future Energy - Florida is the Sunshine State! It’s renewable energy. We will be the new Silicon Valley. I will put Solar Panels on all government building, schools and hospitals to “Go Green”. I agree with Senator Bill Nelson. I am against off-shore oil drilling. I will promote clean Wind and Wave Energy Programs. This will provide jobs, industries and a broader tax base. Others didn’t do it! WHY NOT!?!
· Safety for American Families in Emergencies - Florida is in a hurricane zone. Hurricane Wilma destroyed my house! We have major disasters – hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, floods and fires. We must be prepared B.D.A. - before, during and after. I will get FEM to help faster! Others didn’t do it! DID THEY!?!
* Soldiers Are Friends of Everyone - I will invite all branches of the military to train in our cities and parks, including school yards and gyms after hours. They will be a crime deterrent. There's about 45,ooo gang members in Florida. In emergencies, they will already be here - ready, willing and able to help. We will have a safer state. Plus, our economy will benefit greatly.
· Schools Are Failing Everywhere – The U.S. Dept of Ed. rated Florida’s schools 42nd out of 50 states. We are #8 from the bottom. That’s the BOTTOM fifth! We don't need 67 separate school districts. 2 + 3 = 5 everywhere. It doesn't matter which political party you belong to. As an educator, I served on the front lines in three states. Also, many dropouts end up in prison. I can help. I will create more trade schools for real life. What did others do?
· Health Care Reform: Save Money At Doctors, Hospitals and For Prescriptions Every time – I will support state and federal programs to offer instant discounts on bills. Automatic savings – just like a co-payment. No big,expensive new bureaucracy is needed. Just show your I.D. and Social Security cards. Many people like my health care plan better. Don't you? Others didn’t do it! DID THEY!?!
· Get Companies to Relocate to Florida – Offer incentives plus employees will benefit with no state income tax and a real estate buyers market. This will provide jobs and a broader tax base. Homes and buildings are sitting vacant. We will get Floridians back to work! Others didn’t do it! WHY NOT!?!
· Shipping America’s Freight Everywhere - Florida is the Gateway to the Caribbean Basin™, South America, the Panama Canal and the Pacific. Let’s expand Florida’s ports. This will provide jobs, industries and a broader tax base. What did others do?
· Sports Are Florida’s Enterprise – I want to bring the Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer and many other championship events to all of Florida. We hosted several Super Bowls. We have stadiums and arenas. It’s cost-effective because we won’t have to build any. I will start the Annual Florida Games! This will create jobs and new income streams. Others didn’t do it!
· Save Animals From Extinction and Extermination – Florida is America’s Rainforest™. Let’s promote Eco-tours. We have the Everglades, Lake Okeechobee, Silver Springs, many state parks and miles of beaches.
· Python Snakes Are Florida’s Enemies – They are spreading from the Everglades to the Keys and all of Florida. They are big enough to swallow a gator! Senator Nelson wants to stop them, too. I will get the Wildlife and Interior Dep'ts to stop them. Others didn’t do it! WHY NOT!?!
· Boy Scout Joe Allen, Governor of Florida helping Everyone – I will make sure that your needs are met. Others didn’t do it! DID THEY!?!
· Other Interests - We are spending way too much money on prisons. Yes, I have plans that, too. And, there is a program to restore voting rights to ex-felons.
* I will form the Florida Volunteer Corps. Let’s help each other!
* On First Saturdays, we'll Always Clean Florida Every month - Clean out, Remove, Repair, Paint and Plant flowers. Let's do it!
* I will abolish the Mosquito Control Boards and use the money to hire more mosquito control workers. Many others Boards, Councils and Commissions will be eliminated.
* I will have regular 'State of the State' town hall meetings throughout the state.
* Since Florida will be greatly affected by any changes in US - Cuba relations, I want to be involved in the process.
I will be the American Ambassador to the Caribbean
and the Caribbean Ambassador to America.
* I started two organizations: The Center for American & Caribbean Unity (CAmCUn) and The International Caribbean Ass'n (ICA).
· Foreign Affairs: Stop Giving Away Our Money - Only Food, Medicine & Equipment that’s made by American workers. I will create jobs! Disaster relief is a special situation. Then, it must still be monitored. No blank checks!

Education and exams are not supposed to be like
trying to get a toddler to run a marathon. STOP IT!!
If taught properly, practiced sufficiently and learned correctly, then it should be
no more stressful that asking an adult what is 2 + 3. They will calmly say 5.
Since we must know whether students are learning at the proper rate,
I will introduce the E.A.S.Y. exam -
Evaluation of Achievement of Students Yearly.
